Possibilities with Nestabilities!

Well Wednesday saw our first workshop of 2010 and a chance to try out our recent club purchase – 4 sets of Nestabilities. And it looked like they went down a treat with some fantastic cards being made by you all. Unfortunately I got my camera out a little too late to capture many photos this time. (Please remind me at the next workshop!!) Anyway I managed a piccie of one of my demo cards and one of Karen’s – see below.

As promised here is the link to the layout pages on the Splitcoast Stampers forum for future reference:
Split Coast Stampers forum - card layouts (Scroll down and download the Word files with sketches and card photos - x3 files in total)

Well done to those of you who have already completed your challenge for this month i.e. to look at the blog and leave a comment if you dare! Don’t forget to bring any suggestions of other links you would like to see on our blog to the next workshop or send us a message either via the blog or on email.

Other news:
Belated Congratulations to Rachael Balaam and family on the birth of Bradley Clarke (9lb 13oz and now probably weighing a lot more as he is 7 weeks old!) Rachael says she is very busy, but all are doing well and she plans to return to Card Club when time permits.

Our Christmas Charity raffle raised £60 and we agreed to split the proceeds between 3 charities - Surrey Air Ambulance, Women for Women and Breast Cancer Care.

Other dates for your diary:
Tadworth Card Club is on Monday 8th February 10am - 12noon at Merland Rise Church Hall and meets every month on the second Monday of the month if you want to get in some extra card making.

And don't forget Farnborough Make-It craft show on 26th - 28th February.

  1. Hi there all! don't now whether this is going to work but would be really good if you could let us know how to become a member on the site. On my ramblings in Bookham yesterday I discovered that the Grange shop in Church road is selling stock from the now sadly closed craft shop which was on the other side of the road. The majority of the stuff is half price though I bought some scrap book 12 x 12 paper for 5p a sheet ant a book for £1!!!! I also got some flower soft supplies at half price. There are lots of peel offs and all sorts of other bits and pieces. I alas don't know the opening times but the lady in residence said that if the shop is closed and the ' proper ' shop for the Grange is open then they would open the shop for browsing. I don't think the shop is open on Mondays. Hope this is of some use to you out there - that is assuming the message gets posted in the right spot and doesn't float in space!!! Happy Crafting!
