...pictures from last week.
Quilled: For further information on creating different shapes with open coils click here.
Folded: Kay has instructions for how to make these cards on her blog. Click here to find out more.
Reflected: And one more important set of photos - your fabulous Competition mirrors! We spent lots of time checking they met the criteria of two or more techniques covered this year and also deliberating over our choice of 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Results will be announced at the next workshop - November 27th.

Paper curling and folding
***REMINDERS!!!***
For Wednesday's workshop please remember to bring your ALTERED MIRRORS and your £5 DEPOSIT for our Christmas meal out on Wed 11th December. Decorations are not due in until 27th. And also please don't forget that we are at the SCOUT HUT this week - start time slightly later 8.15pm.
Demo-wise we will be continuing with Christmas cards - this time doing quilled cards and paper circle folding. We had a taste of quilling at Tadworth today. Below are some of the card examples you can have a go at on Wednesday.
As an alternative to quilling, Kay will be doing our second demo using folded paper circles. See example below and check out Kay's blog for further info.
And one more thing - Happy Special Birthday to Penny, who celebrated at the weekend!!

Spring comes early to ACMC!
Well our February floral workshop seems to have worked a little magic on the weather this week - perhaps we are now starting to see signs of Spring after all!It certainly looked that way in the Ralli Room last Wednesday with snowdrops, roses and chrysanthemums all in full bloom!
Michelle's rose demo (board pictured above) proved to be very popular and this time I remembered to take some piccies of the finished results. The roses featured below were handcrafted by Sheila H. and Sarah M.
For those of you who were not at the workshop, Michelle's PartiCraft friend and colleague Maria has a wonderful tutorial on her blog showing step by step how to make the roses, and she has kindly agreed that we can link to her blog. Click here to go to her tutorial. And do check out the rest of her blog for inspiration as she is a very talented lady!
The final floral demo was using our new Nestabilities scalloped circle dies to make either handmade paper floral embellishments, chrysanthemums (see Kay P's card above) or folded 3D Nestie flowers. Apologies to Fenella here - I did take a photo of her completed card but my camera battery died and it didn't save! One day I will get it right!!
We hope you are all thinking of ideas for cards for the Membership Pack competition. Again for those of you not at the last workshop, we have decided to make the criteria stricter this year. The card design can be on any theme using any techniques you like, but this year you must show that you have used at least three items out of your membership pack. As last year entries will need to be in by the May workshop in time for judging at Village Day. If you have any more questions on this ask us at the next meeting or drop us an email.

February Flowers
Here is a sneak preview of what to expect at our February workshop this Wednesday.
Our theme for the evening is paper flowers and we will be demonstrating four different techniques for creating your own paper flower embellishments - including quilling, using flower punches and a bit of paper folding and curling with Nestabilities scallop circles. So don't miss it!
Looking forward to taking lots more photos of your creations for the blog this time!
